I noticed that you have 2 similar products called Bull Frog Lubricant and Rust Blocker and Lubricant and Rust Blocker II. Is there a difference between the two rust preventers?
While the two formulations do offer lubricating and rust prevention properties using VCI, the two have unique formulations. The original formulation of Lubricant and Rust Blocker uses petroleum based oils and solvents. The newer Rust Blocker II uses vegetable based oils and solvents. While both provide excellent protections, the original formulation is shown to provide slightly more protection.
One specific application for Rust Blocker II that has been very popular is for firearm care. Our customers have found that this formulation lubricates well and foams up less on application.
